About Us

Assembly Magic was formed in late 2021 by Merv Smith & Shane Seymour. Prior to this Merv had been operating Ezy Assembly for almost 10 years and Shane had been a customer for almost 6 years. Shane had succesfully been operating the Business TV Magic for over 15 years and now grown successfully to over 30 Franchisees.

With Merv's business gaining momentum he began researching ideas to expand and with Shane came that opportunity. From this Assembly Magic was born.

Merv is not only Co-Owner but works on the Gold Coast and now the National Training Manager. With over 10 years experience assembling Flat Packs as a business and many more years experience building his own, he brings vast experience to his customers.

With years of experince in Retail & Customer Service his service is exceptional he constantly is looking for new ways to improve and help custoemrs even more.

Michael joined Assembly Magic in 2024 and brings with him a wealth of experience from installing portable kitchens and brand development. He has supervised, installed and even fabricated many items in Commercial Kitchens and branched out into his own brand of homewares.

He has built many Flat Packs in his previous work and now with our support he will be part of our team. He hails from Wales, but has been in Australia since 1999 and of course even married a local! He is an avid and accomplished snow skier and enjoys spending time with his 2 grandkids here on the Gold Coast.

Damian is our newest Contractor to join the Gold Coast team. He is a Banora Point Local with a young family that enjoy the outdoors. He comes to us from a background of Warehousing, but has also been involved in his own car detailing business. He has a great mind for streamlining processes, has been working with his hands his whole life and is very personable of course.

Ben became our FIRST FRANCHISEE in January 2022 and has quickly become experienced in all facets of Flast Pack Assembly. He has built a strong database of customers, many of whom utilise him time and time again.

His Customer Service skills have become as strong as his ability to assemble EVERY Flay Pack you can think of!

He joins Assembly Magic in May in his first role as an OWNER! We are excited to have his high level Customer Service and know that his High Quality of Workmanship will see him popular.

Robert comes to Assembly Magic with almost 5 years Experience with TV Magic in Melbounre as the Franchisee for Melbourne West & Geelong. He was even awarded Rookie Saleperson of the year in 2022 for his hard work. He will be operating both Franchises and begins his journey of expansion with us.

Robert really enjoys Hiking & Photography, which saw him climb to the Mt Everest Base Camp... No small acheivement at all. He also credits his daughter as his other "Greatest Acheivement" in life.

He has a wealth of experience even working as a delivery driver for Fantastic Furniture which also included assembling a lot of their items!
